On Friday the 5th of October the Cambridge certificates were handed out at our school with a lovely high tea and against a beautiful backdrop of the London skyline. It was a joyous occasion with proud students, parents and teachers alike.
Three different kinds of certificates were handed out.
Ten of our Students received an FCE certificate. An FCE qualification shows that you have the language skills to live and work independently in an English-speaking country.
Eleven students received the CAE certificate. It is an in-depth, high-level qualification that shows you have the language skills that employers and universities are looking for.
Six students received the CPE certificate: This qualification shows the world that you have mastered English to an exceptional level. It proves you can communicate with the fluency and sophistication of a highly competent English speaker.
This event is, however, about so much more than just a certificate! It is a showcase of true grit, hard work and real perseverance. Students are under no obligation to attend the Cambridge lessons or to write the difficult exams and many stop half way through. It is therefore a very special moment for each of them when they receive their certificate because a lot of sacrifices have been made along the way.
We would also like to thank the facilities team at school who really went out of their way to turn the ‘personeelskamer’ into a tiny slice of London.
